Buyer/Trader Beware on TB !

Seabassman sold it to Session and misrepresented it. Session didnt know it. Session sold it to me, I and my luthier.found the misrepresentation. Session refunded me.

Theoretically speaking, how do you know that the first owner wasn't the one that misrepresented it? If the bass was in such banged up shape as you claimed, I want to know why Session's luthier did not find any of the other issues wrong with it. Why did Session say the neck played like butter if it was so screwed up?

I see, yes, you're right, there were a total of four participants. I was confused. I still think it's fishy... and I agree that you can't go back "x" number of sellers expecting to undo multiple changing of hands.

There were three. Seabassman, myself , and Jared. I have a great feedback rating as does Jared. I believe I've shown that I'm an upstanding member who stands behind his transactions. If he's not going to be standup and admit he bamboozled me, I'll take it as a lesson and if the end result is that this is just a good warning for others to pull off the pickups covers and pick guards to make sure the bass purchased or traded is in the represented condition, so be it.

if this story is true,.. owner one loss credibility for not added a $100 bill. owner two was complacent on several issues as it appears

The other issues were not noticed. The pickup cover hid the damage and a luthier spotted the warp.

I dont have that answer. I just know in my phone discussions and how it all happened, I believe him. Ive been self employed for 30 years. In sales for longer. I consider my bs meter to be pretty spot on. I know seabassman put that jazz he got from the session trade and his ad makes no mention of upgrades when he told session he could trade it back cuz of all the upgrades he did to it.

Put that jazz up for sale here. Sorry.

I buy a used car. The dealership says the car runs great. It's been on the lot for five weeks when I bought it. A few days later, the wheels fall off. I go back to the dealership. They tell me they didn't know there were any problems with the wheels. They were really busy those five weeks they had it. They're refunding my money and now they're going after the guy they bought the car from because it's that guy's fault.

And in the five weeks he owned it, he didn't discover the misrepresentations? Whether he owned it for an hour or a month, disclosure was his responsibility. He owned. He sold it. He misrepresented it.

True, it was a busy time and I had no reason to take the pickup cover off or take to a Luthier.

Ok, then you don't have proof, and speculation doesn't work here.

@Session1969 - I am trying to figure out if there was any intentional wrong doing by anyone, so please reply to this. What proof do you have that the bass was damaged (or not in the promised condition) when you got it from Seabassman84. I believe that extra drill holes were discovered while in Jared's possession, but what concrete evidence do you have that they were done by Seabassman84? Why didn't your luthier make any note of any of the other listed issues here when you took it for inspection. They seem like fairly obvious problems.

No, they have no recourse, niether does guitar center. But this is talkbass / deals between individuals. Are we men? Are we honest? I know I am? I know Session1969 is.
