Thats what I mean. Its a classic scam on CL. Someone is selling a car or something, they accidentally pay you more and ask you to refund the difference. Or have "their people arrange to pick it up".

Buyer using Zelle does this look like fraud?

I assume you knew it was fraud and just giving us the heads-up. Thanks for that! Every little bit helps when it comes to fraud prevention.
Email him saying your Zelle account is locked, and say you’ll send funds through Paypal. Then send him an email from “[email protected]” that says you sent him $5,000. Oops! You put an extra zero on it! Have him refund you the $4,500 difference.
It won’t matter - it’s all fake money and fake emails, aside from your real personal email.
I hate people who spend all day sending out these messages trying to rip people off - and you know it works, bc otherwise they wouldn’t be doing it!

Forward those emails, and your other correspondence, to the FBI.
Print a label with tracking for a small envelope and send it to Zanzibar then send your scammer the tracking number and tell them their bass and money are on the way. 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but for Zelle to work for deposits, doncha have to supply account information for where the money is going?
Yep, i used them before we had electronic payments and never had a problem.
No you just link your phone and/or email to your bank account through Zelle, and people can send you money using those instantly.

Yep. I've had people try similar things through the Clubs that I have managed over the years.
In these instances they enquire about having a function at the club for 100 people and ask for a quote for meals and drinks. We send them a quote for example of $50 per person and request a deposit of 20% to lock in the function. They reply that they will pay the entire amount of $5000 and will include an extra $2500 which they want us to forward to their tour guide as their regular payments system to staff has had a problem. If we were silly enough to forward the $2500 the total payment from the person would suddenly disappear.
