Buying a bass wah pedal

I just bought a Wilson 12 position bass Q-wah. It's up there with the best music-related purchases I have ever made. If you have the cash, go for it, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Care to say how you got it from? Because buying it off the site looks kind of dodgy.

Noob question, but what is the difference between the 12 and 6 position model of this pedal?

There is nothing dodgy about Kevin Wilson effects. He is very communicative and helpful, I was impressed with his response time, and even more impressed with the wah itself - if I was a person who made absolute statements, I would say it's the 'best' bass wah by some way. But I don't make absolute statements...

To answer the 6v12 position question, this is the reply I got from Kevin when I asked the same thing before I bought mine:

Mark,
The 12 position has a higher range setting. You are able to dial in 5 additional higher Q settings and 6 additional lower Q settings if you take out the in between settings you'll actually be able to go 3 complete settings higher on the Q range and 2 lower Q settings on the 12 position. The others are in between values of the 6 position.

I've a Morley Dual Bass Wah. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Or, to be more accurate, I love how it sound in practice and gigs where I'm not going thru the PA. I hate how soundmen, around here, make it sound. On stage I get a nice, deep 'whump'. Out of the PA, a grumbling snarl.

The wh10? I was looking into it because I love the way it sounds on guitar. What didn't you like about it? Did it sound like this clone at all?
