Buying my first Hofner.. and it's vintage. Help?

Hi there!

Have never had a hofner and found this 70's super beatle. Love me that old Air/ Chris Wood sound and just wanted something to experiment with. I know exactly what I'm looking at with old Fenders/ Gibsons but this is a bit of an unknown for me. Thinking be careful with the neck joint? What else should I watch out for? Obv some finish shenangigans at play here...

Please educate me! Is ~2k a decent deal for this? Many thanks!

Nice bass but it won’t sound like McCartney. Blade pickups, different control plate… But nice bass
