Double Bass C, an E-flat, and G go into a bar...

How do you know when there's an ardvark on your porch?

She can't find her key and she doesn't know when to come in...and she sticks her long tounge through the key hole looking for ants.

Damn, this is going to take some work.

1. The duck should ask for grapes. "Grapes" has a funnier sound than "strawberries".

2. The duck should walk in, not waddle. Walking is funnier, because it's more anthropomorphic. Anthromorphism is funny, especially in ducks..

3. The bartender should threaten the duck with nailing his feet to the floor. Then the duck can walk in the last day and say, simply,"got any nails? The bartender says "No." The duck says, "Got any grapes?"

The Society for Aadvark Equality are not going to be happy about this one.

My friends version, as you all know, is the frog with grapes. The other variation in his joke is that the frog goes into a fabric store, not a bar, and asks for the grapes. Why? I have no idea. Fabric stores may indeed be funnier than bars, however. This version then ends like this:

Frog: Got any nails?
Fabric Salesman: No! What the heck do you think this is a hardware store?
Frog: All right then. How 'bout those grapes?

Moderately amusing to make the frog a bit of a smartass, but other than that...

...still not much of a joke, in my opinion.

Matt
