Right now I have a GK 700RB amp driving a Hartke VX1508 cab... And when I tweak my head for "my sound", it sounds perfect. I'm just curious, what brings out a tone more, the cab or the amp? Or is it pretty much equal?

Cab or the Amp?

I was thinking about trading the Hartke in for some GK cabs.
Or trading in the GK for a Hartke head..
I play ska, jazz, hardcore, and punk for the most part, so I need the cabs to be versatile and roadworthy. Is GK the way to go? Or should I stick with Hartke? I like my sound to be very grindy, punchy, in-your-face but not too snappy... Mix Matt Freeman, Mike Dirnt, Jaco, and Flea, and thats my sound... very low-mid punch.

It depends. Cabs with a lot of coloration will sound pretty much the same with any head. Cabs with very litttle coloration will let more of the tone of the amp and instrument come through.
