Double Bass cabs for doubling using a wt 405

Hi

I play mostly upright but of late am needing to play electric more and more. i have been using a gk mb112, but am starting to play louder volumes and have just bought a wt 405 so am looking for a couple of cabs to go with it. i am using a realist without a preamp (for now). I play everything from quiet jazz gigs to acoustic rock where I need a bit of volume. I am thinking either of a couple of wizzy Mlines or a berg ae112 paired with an ae 210 or 110. Anyway any thoughts would be appreciated.

In my opinion and experience, you could not go wrong by pairing your WT405 with an EA M-Line or two. Your WT405 is 2 ohm capable so you have a lot of flexibility. While the M-Lines are available in 8 ohm, it appears that there are many more 4-ohm versions available. You may find that just one of them is loud enough for you in most of your gigs.

I don't have experience with Bergantino, but the brand has a great reputation. I don't think that an AE 110 exists however.

I own a GK 112MBX and an EA Wizzy M, and there is a huge difference between them. The little GK box is nice because it's very light and compact, but the Wizzy M can get way louder with the same amp (I primarily use a Walter Woods). For doubling, I almost never need more than one Wizzy M. It's an amazing speaker.
