California Bass Works ?

Has anyone herd of California Bass Works? I found a posting on CL for a 5 string bass I could not find any info online for the company. Any thoughts?

Thanks Paulabass, the listing looks suspicious to me also. I was just wondering if anyone herd of this company. The bass does look nice in the pictures.

Hello Rich. Here is a recent sale listing, in which the seller says that the bass was made from "Warmoth parts":

Killer California Bassworks (Warmoth parts) Custom 5 String Bass Guitar | eBay​

If they were correct, then maybe once there was an assembler operating under the name "California Bassworks".

In my opinion, it isn't something to get too excited about.

Hey guys. I’m the seller of the white CALIFORNIA bass works bass at the link. It’s basically a warmoth built by a company/guy That is no longer building. But at least the one I have is very sweet and if you are familiar with warmoth this is a great example
