Apparently I've been playing more that I used to, and I have the calluses in my fretting hand to prove it. Yes, I've been playing a lot of sliding vibrato stuff (+ - 1/2 step). NO BLISTERS!
I've doing the nightly treatment with https://www.amazon.com/Gena-Healthy-Hoof-Cream-Ounce/dp/B0006Q00ZI on my cuticles and fingertips.
Here's my problem: My calluses CRACKED! It seems this modern handwashing thing really dries the skin! I thought I was taking care of my fingers, but now I have this very painful cut, right on the tip of my finger!
I know am I posting in technique, but please don't tell me to change how I play! I like my calluses! I like how harmonics just pop right off. I just need some guidance as to how to keep my calluses from cracking! Is there any way to prevent this?
Thanks!
Diego
