So I have heard conflicting ideas on this. If I put a fuzz or delay pedal into a simple feedback loop pedal (totally passive) is it possible I can cause any damage? I would to experiment with this but I really don't want to cause any damage to my expensive boxes. Thanks!

Can a feedback loop pedal cause damage to other pedals?

It's remotely possible. You know how feedback is self-amplifying? Each time through each gain stage the signal hits a resonant frequency and comes out louder than it went in, and this just keeps going. Every component has a maximum wattage it can handle before burning up. Conceivably the voltage of the signal could increase to the point that it reaches the volt-amps limit of a component somewhere in the chain, frying it.
