Yep, looks like a Tanglewood Rebel 4K. Just goes to show you that professional working musicians don’t necessarily need or want the fancy high-end basses!

I think this may be a case of me looking for that similar body style in a little bit better brand.

Don't fall victim to headstock snobbery. There are actually a few Jay Turser models that are quite good. So many Asian made basses were made in the same factories, especially the MIK models in the 90's and 00's
