Can anyone identify this bass player?

Hi All,

This is my first post and I have been trying to identify the bass player in the images here:

They're not the greatest images....I took them with my digital camera in front of the TV screen!

Anyway....the images come from a track from a BB King concert which was shown as part of 'The best of The Tube' on UK cable TV about six or seven weeks ago, though originally probably from the mid 80's?

I havn't a clue who he is ,but he performed a killer slap bass solo
with an equally killer sound.....anyone know who he is?

Looks like a 70's Jazz bass to me. With the cover over the neck pickup and the block fingerboard inlays...

At first I was thinking "That doesn't look like Randy Jackson at all" but when I compare it to the picture I see what you mean.

I do not think it is Randy Jackson - take a look at the pic of Willy Weeks on this site...

That picture of Willy Weeks doesn't look like the guy in the original picture to me. Weeks' head is too thin.

I had posted this same thread on The Dudepit and was informed that player is Russel Jackson.

Having found these pics of Russel Jackson I am 100% convinced it is him:
