A friend and I had an "upright bass nerd night" tonight. Between the two of us we had 3 pickups, four preamps, and three different amps to plug our basses in to. It was really fun trying out different combinations of pickups and preamps on our basses to hear what works best for our intruments.
He brought a pickup with him, that thankfully he's letting me borrow in exchange for my fdeck preamp, that sounds amazing with my bass. Unfortunately, he can't remember who made it. Can anyone here identify it? I know it's a long shot, but I'd love to own my own soon.
I've included a couple pictures. It seems to stand out to me, because the contact piece looks like a piece of wood.
