You ever have a practice so sweet you gotta praise the Lord for the sheer joy of playing bass?

Hey I'm an atheist, but sometimes that bass is just sooooo good it just makes you wanna drop on your knees and shout "Halleluyah!" for just being able to play that bass guitar, that awesome bass guitar, don't it?

Can I get an Amen?

I've owned and played a fair share of basses in the last three decades, but there were only two that did that.
One was made by a Greek custom company named Odyssey. I played it on the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. It was the best I ever touched, felt or heard. That was in the nineties and I did not have that kind of money, though.

The other is the Le Fay I bought a little more than two years ago. The honeymoon period never stopped.

i've rarely had a rehearsal that was truly uplifting and exhilarating but i've experienced magical moments many times in performances.

I am very familiar with the emotion expressed in the O.P.

In fact, most of my musical experiences could be called "religious" by people who are not anti-faith/atheist.
