We use a pair of Yorkville PL315/4 3-way cabinets rated at 350 watt program for sound reinforcement (primarily vocals and drums go through our PA). They are 3-way passive cabs with a +/- 3db rating response of 60-18K Hz. Here's my problem/question: I've recently isolated a noise problem in one of the cabinets to the low pass filter. The crossover point is 1200 Hz for this filter, but the woofer is an Eminence Kappa C rated for 63 - 2.8kHz, +/- 3dB. Repairing the crossover is going to be a hassle; can I just bypass the low pass filter and run the woofer full range ? See any problems with passing a full range signal through the woofer ?
