Can I use more than one interface into my computer at the same time?

Don't seem to be able to find this so here goes- right now I've a Zoom H4n for recording. Someone is offering me a trade for a PreSonus Inspire 1394 for one of my pedals...

Just using the Presonus alone won't be much different from using my Zoom H4n, but can I run them simultaneously into my computer to record up to 8 tracks (H4n has two quarter/xlr in and two mics set to stereo, presonus inspire has two quarter and two xlr)? I realize I can just record separately and combine later (presonus into computer and record 4 tracks, H4n recorded standalone simultaneously, copy files over to computer and mix), but that'll be more things that I need to manage and I'm not sure if it'll be worth the effort if I can just save up and get a larger 8 track interface in the future.

No you daw will only recognize one interface. If by some way you can plug the zoom into the presonus, but I don't think the presonus supports that.

My memory is fuzzy, but there may be a way to combine the two using the ASIO 4 ALL drivers. Worth googling, at any rate.

@Dug dog- Didn't see your reply when I replied. Hmm that's rather interesting. I wanted to avoid having to have to work around software and drivers since I'm not too sure how to run it without causing problems. I'll look around though. Thanks!

I guess you are on a pc? On a mac you can combine as many soundcards as you can physically plug into your computer very easily. You just select whats ins/outs from any of the interfaces you want to use and os x (essentially) makes a driver that includes all of them as a kind of composite/aggregate device.

I'm not sure how possible this is on a pc, I'm sure it IS for some setups though.
