That's a sweet car. $50 million is a crazy amount of money for any car, but if you got it, do what you want with it.

I wish that auction company would spend some of that money on a real website though. It's like going back to 1999 all over again with the scrolling, flashing banner and the photo "gallery" with the little arrows. Straight out of a web template in Word 2000.

I love sports cars (and own a few) but $50 million for a car? Where could you drive a car like that? I would be afraid and too nervous to enjoy it on the road. It would have to be locked up in a warehouse all the time and that's not my idea of fun. Just sayin.

I have a 250 like this up close at a car show and it really is like a piece of artwork not unlike a Picasso or Van Gogh or even an original Stradivarius. The guy that owned it also brought a F40 to the show and parked both of them in the Ferrari section of this major annual car show. He drove the 250 there and back home -- no big deal he said. Most people didn't realize the car 250 was worth about 6 million.

There are many different Ferrari 250's that all look different: 250 GTO, GTE, LM, GT SWB, GT LWB, Spider, Spider California. There were 39 GTO's made, three of which are the series 2 that look completely different than the one above.

There's a guy in the village next to us that has a large collection of vintage Ferrari's. Google Jean Pierre Slavic and check out his Ferrari's and other gems. He drives them all on a regular basis and I've seen a few of his cars on the road. I would be too scared to drive a multimillion dollar car.
