I think this whole dropping of the post counts is a bunch of silly nonsense. I belong to maybe a half-dozen other discussion forums on various topics that use vBulletin, and they all display their post counts. It's very annoying to see it being screwed around with on this forum. It's a standard informational feature of the program. It's helpful to know right up front who's got how many posts and how that reflects on how they express themselves, at least for those who aren't coming on with the "I'll show you how to behave properly on the forum" kind of attitude (there are other ways to do that). It's a fun fact, and just to diddle with it to show you've got power, and to perhaps act as incentive to become a supporting member, is just an act of a group of insiders who think they have something to prove, a power play if you will. Is the plan to start cutting back on every little feature of vBulletin in an effort to discipline some, or to teach the proletariat how to be humble to the generous providers? Give me a break! I can't believe this has happened here... I love TB, and learn something new every day on it, and am highly entertained by it, but this is ridiculous! Maybe this will influence my decision to become a supporting member -- d'ya think?
