Apologies to any who take offence, I certainly don't intend to impede on free speech, or expressing your own opinions.

I am not a parent in any way, although this thread is growing up fast
While I generally disagree with your OP and with enforced speech in general, your further participation throughout the thread shows you to be thoughtful and receptive to different opinions.

Cannot criticize that.

You shared an opinion and did not delete it.
Cheers.

I've tried explaining this to my FB "friends", & if they don't get it, which is often, I have to unfollow them.
Right now loads of my friends are on mute for 30 days, while they calm down. First they were communicable disease experts & now they think they're Civil Rights attorneys.

I also have a handful of FB friends on mute (sorry, grandma!)

Going to open myself up for increased disdain from a certain subset of TB users here, but: As a journalist  it is totally wild to me how many people share misleading information. Sometimes, they share it because they believe it! Other times, they share it because they want to point out how stupid and unbelievable it is...but all that does is push it onto the feeds of hundreds of other people, some who might end up believing it...which then defeats the purpose of the outrage! :roflmao: The best way to stop something you don't like from reaching more people? NOT ENGAGING WITH IT.

The internet was a mistake, but it's a really entertaining one.
