Can you help me identify this Precision?

Hi, I wondered if anyone can help me with this. I am seriously considering buying the bass on the picture (I know it isn't the most informative pic you've ever seen)

The guy who is selling doesnt know much about it but it is MIJ, which I confirmed by serial number (made in 93-94). But I have no idea how to tell what model is it, I tried to search on web and found that it might be 62 or 66 reissue (even if these two seemed pretty much same to me)?

I've tried it and it played and felt nice. I just would like to know more about it than "93-94 Japan", so I can find some more info about it, thanks in advance.

To play it, of course, but I just wanted to have all information, you never know if just year 93-94 was bad somehow etc.

Also, I just want to know how is this bass called. Is there any way to recognize it?

Hm, if that's really price at free market for this bass in USA it makes me sad. Here the asked price is 690, but I hope to lower it to 645. Pretty normal price on market here, for MIA I would pay something about 1000 bucks, I mean for piece from 90's or 00's. But I think you can't compare the prices right on.

I'd say that would be an o.k. price for a used 90's vintage MIA Fender Precision, but fairly steep for a MIJ Standard P.

$1000 is MORE than I paid for my 2008 MIA American Standard BRAND NEW with the case and all the candy in June of 08. The prices have gone up a bit since then, but at a $1K for a used MIA Fender... it damned better be less than a year old, and in PERFECT AS NEW condition (required IMO) :)

Well, as I said, obviously prices are different at US market.
