Double Bass Can you help me please?

I have a three quarter size bass which has an old set (25 years plus) of strings on it. I bought a new set but they were the wrong type and virtually pulled the double bass apart through extremely high tension. The set I have is like this: The G string is red, the D is gold and they are gut or nylon. The other 2 are tape wound. The bass is used for playing folk music and plucked rather than bowed. Can anyone help me identify the make of these strings as I really don't want to bet it wrong again!
Many thanks
Peter

I'd probably consider something like one of the low tension Innovation strings; gut-ish tone and feel, much lower cost, available in several tensions and options.
