late-70's to early 80's Matsumoku Vantage Bass. That one looks to be the neckthru version. I sold a bolt-on one just 2 weeks ago. 33" scale (or was it 30"?) with P pickups and an ugly Gibson style bridge that actually worked quite well. I was impressed with it.

Someone's changed the pickup & knobs, though. They came in cream.
 
+1 to this, I had one back in the late 80's that looked exactly like this, except the wood stain was a bit darker.

The top bass is probably a Vantage (definitely NOT a Curlee) and hard to tell if it's neck thru, as they made a good faux neck thru.
