Hi I am trying to recall the name of a piezo pickup which screws into one of the bridge legs after drilling a hole.

I think it looks like a single wilson
Except that the wire comes out straight rather than at a right angle.

I actually saw what I think you're describing on a bass in my luthier's shop on Friday. He called it a "Hot Spot", I believe.
