Canadian Jaguar GAS....

An FYI to all you Hosers out there,

Just bought a Fender Jaguar bass from Long & Mcquades.

Here was the deal...

L&M sells the jag for 899.00 plus tax.

Knowing it's dirt cheap in the US I called around and found that "The Guitar Shop" on lakeshore in Port Credit (Mississauga) is selling for 699.00, likely as a result of the decrease in American pricing. L&M in Stratford Ontario matched this price for me today.

Get this....Right now L&M gives you a free $100 gift card with the purchase of this bass and if you apply for thier financing (weather you need it or not) and you can apply the free gift card towards your purchase making it 599.00.

Finally, buy before Dec. 31st at L&M and get 90 days interest free financing on the balance!

That's $300 dollars off and free financing!

A great deal on what I gather is a great bass. If your will to drive to the US you will likely get an even better price, but after adding the time and gas this is definately the next best thing.

woooohoooo!

(oh yeah, first post....howdy from the great white north).

AHU

Good for you. There is something special about the Jag. The neck is like butta. I have ten basses and I reach for it half the time, even though I Love Thunderbirds!!!
Canada. so few people, so many great musicians... I have never fully recovered from the great bass lines found on some of the crash test dummies songs. Now that was a bass line writer... The album with "God Shuffled His Feet". OK, I gottal find that CD now...cheers

welcome, bro'. i'm ex-TO myself. lived downtown from 94-96. used to spend a fair amount of cash at a little music shop called 'birdsong' on queen west. ever hear of it?

yeah I know Songbird on Queen, got some sweet deals when they went out of business a year or two ago. Too bad really...there's never enough good music instrument stores.
