I am looking into getting an effect to "spice things up" during some parts of my bands original material. I really want something during this one particular bass solo that will...
1.) Digress from my original tone enough to sound different yet not out of place per say...
2.) NOT take away any of my original tone when it is disengaged (I will probably only use it for 10-15% of the material)
I have about $150 budget, will buy used, however I specifically want a pedal so I can disengage it easily for live shows. No rack effects. I was thinking about a Flanger, Delay, maybe even a synthesizer or something... Just want something thats a good all around effects to add some variety to our 4 piece considering we only have 1 guitarist atm. I am very picky as I don't want it to digress from the tone I have now. (I really like what I have now)
Some background info
I use a bbe sonic maximizer and a sansamp bddi in the effects loop already. I will run this into the front of the pre-amp after my boss lmb-3. Progressive metal genre.
Thanks for any input and advice ahead of time!
