Can't Delete Emoticons Using Android/Chrome!

This is probably a dumb Android bug, but I noticed this morning that, editing a reply to a posting, on my Android tablet, I was unable to delete an emoticon in the quoted message. Neither positioning the cursor to backspace-delete, not selecting the emoticon in a blue select region and deleting, seem to work. Instead, it's the character before the emoticon that disappears. No such problem with desktop browsers, so it's probably an Android bug, but these things need to be reported...

Click the icon that looks like a page with a little wrench (to the right above the text input area) to switch to editing the post in text mode. It will show the emoticon's text representation instead of the graphic. Switch back by clicking a link below the text area.

I don't know if this is available when using Android, though if it is a full web browser it should be.
