Can't edit posts?

I went to go edit one of my posts I posted a few days ago and one from this morning and I noticed there was no edit button on my post...so I went and looked at my other posts...no edit button. So I posted a reply in my own thread (bumping it up) and there was an edit button on the post. Is there something going on where you can't edit a post after a few hours or something? This is really weird...I even tried signing out and back in and nothing changed.

I was able to hit the Edit button on that last post, and when I tried to save it, I got this...

The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 5 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.

I'm not crazy about the time limit, but I'm not gonna make a big deal of it. Is there a good reason for this? Or more importantly, why now?

Recent ones.... I had thought there was perhaps a "waiting period" of sorts, since I'm not able to edit from the second it's posted (which is usually when I notice my typos). I don't know what the time limit is, but going through any of my posts from, say, the past month, none of them can be edited.

Okay - just verified the issue is strictly on the Tab A on either the stock browser or Chrome. On my Note 2, there is a drop down menu that does not appear on the Tab A. Maybe it's a glitch related to screen sizing....

EDIT: Aaaaannnd... requesting the Desktop version (which I assumed I was already getting) solved the problem... Edit / Delete / Report / Bookmark links are now visible.

Requesting the desktop version? The site is responsive based on window size, I wasn't aware there was another version of TalkBass... I've never used that device, so I can't say what in the world it's doing :)

It's near Halloween so hopefully it's ok to bring this thread back from the dead since I am having the missing edit button issue now. I posted from my laptop with Firefox and was able to edit it while there, but I have gone back twice since then and can't find the edit button with Firefox or logging in with Edge. Here is the link in case it somehow helps - I promise I am not just finding another forum to show off my awesome new Tidepool Jaguar. :) Thanks for helping
