Carrying Sheet Music

I play cello and EB on gigs and have binders of stuff and a load of sheet music so I am interested the digital approach. But it seems to me the iPad screen is too small to see comfortably (and I am far-sighted), c/b background light glare issues, and how do you mark fingerings and changes on the fly to things like dynamics, repeats, solo order, bowings (if applicable) etc? Playing improvised lines off lead sheets and chord charts I can see iPad mainly would be ok, but how do you classical, studio, and jazz players approach mainly written-out music when digital? Thanks for any thoughts.

I don't know about the iPad apps but Mobile Sheets for android lets you draw, underline, text, highlight etc on the sheet. When working in dark environments where a white sheet with black writing is too bright you can put it into night mode and it inverts to black background and white text.
Being long sighted would be better than short sighted as it's sometimes hard to get the tablet close enough to head height for the short sighted people.

Question about For Score (hello everyone... I'm new here) ... I see it can do scores but can it also do chord charts? At my church I basically get a sheet with the lyrics and the chords above the word at the changes... not very music-like though it's enough. Can For Score recognize that?

Yes. You just save the document as a PDF, and then you can update the artist, title genre, etc.
