yeah, i been skatin since @ 1986. been on the longboards for 3-4 years now. my kids are into it too. heres the family quiver and a couple of my pool decks:
 
I started this year, and I've built 3 decks since may. The latest one has fiberglass, and it's only 3/8" thick, so it's pretty light (for carrying in the subway). Here's a pic.

It's not flat by the way, it is curved in 2 directions.
I think it's a pretty sweet ride, though I have only tried one other board, a Sector 9 something. though I don't I haven't put griptape on it, cuz I'm all out of. It's about 40 inches long, by the way. I got Indy 215's and Krypto Classics 80mm.
