Carvin Active Bass - Pull Out Knob to Save the Battery?

OP, do yourself a favor and buy a $6 or $7 battery tester from Home Depot or the like. When you feel yourself getting nervous about your batteries, especially before a gig, test them. You'll see that they last a very long time, and the tester will let you know when you really do need to replace.

I leave my Carvin in active mode, and I don't think I've had to change the batteries more than once a year.

Ha! Exactly what I've done. And found the amazing battery life.
