Carvin BR combos

I'm thinking about getting a Carvin BA12 or BA15, they look good for the price.

To those that own/ have tried one-

How is it at high volumes?
Is it good for small gigs?
How's the drive on it and overall tone?
Is it worth the money?

Any advice would be great, I'd LOVE to know any flaws this amp may have and I would love to know about other, possibly better amps in the same price range that can be recommended.

Thanks

If the BR15 is anything like my PB200-15 you will be happy with it until you have a chance to play with a ham handed drummer. My PB is rated at 160watts and the BR is rated at 120watts. Now my PB can run an extention cabinet but I dont know about the BR since they dont show the back of the head and carvin hasnt posted a manual for it yet either. If it can run an extension cab I think it would be a good practice amp and onstage moniter for you. It has a direct out which is nice to have incase that set up isnt enough.

Or you could step up to the BR615 which has the BX600 head. Both combo's are nice, you just have to weigh out you wants and needs. Good luck.
