Carvin DCM1000 power cable

I recently purchased a Carvin DCM1000 used off of e-bay. The power cable wasn't included with it. Carvin told me that instead of ordering the power cable from them, I could just go get a cheap power cable at Radio Shack. Is there any reason that I would regret getting a cheap one like the one in the link? Invalid Link Removed

Or should I spend $30 on a good one?

I like how the one in the link is really short. It'll save space in the rack case.

I think the one you listed is fine. But if you really want to be sure, ask Carvin if the 3 foot 18 gauge cable is suffcient to deliver the current you'll need for the DCM1000. My guess is that it is.

For those of you who don't know, the wire gauge numbering system is not very intuitive. The smaller the number, the thicker the wire.
