Carvin MB15 micro bass = very noisy :(

I've had to send my MB10 amp back twice in the last two months (still under warranty). I use it almost exclusively for practice in my office. Both times, when I turned it on, a loud hiss appeared out of nowhere. The last packing slip says "Modification to direct out circuit". The second time I had to send it back, Carvin paid for the return shipping. So, I don't have a problem with the customer service, but I hope the problem is solved. I plug it into a typical surge protector with a few other electronics that I have not had any problem with ( a digital drum set and a guitar amp). I'm sure that should be fine, but wonder if there's something that I can do to prevent it from happening again? Even though the shipping is free, I am still out a practice amp about 4 weeks each time.

I sent back a Carvin head because it picked up radio stations from my main practice space in my home office. I could almost play along with the radio station noise it was that loud!
Think it was there BX head. Was the noisiest of any amp I ever had in terms of hiss and radio signals.
