CARVIN MS215M---Farty Party

I do think this is about expecting more low end at volume than the amp/cab combo can achieve.

I used 215 or 2 115 cabs for my entire life as a gigging bass player. In that time I never boosted the bass eq.

Once a decent 215 is running up to its reasonable max excursion it should be producing lots of low frequencies, right between your shoulder blades. If you aren’t already too loud something isn’t right. That’s when you lose the kick drum and the entire band mix goes to poopie.

If you aren’t already just rumbling out your basement solo and want more rumble, get a second 215.

Your welcome! 🙏

Well I guess I'll have to bow to your eternally superior knowledge.
No need to be disrespectful, what’s your problem?

You said that Carvin didn’t offer JBL E-140’s as an option yet they did. Those particular cabinets were just a little later than that era (iirc).
