Carvin PB100-15

Anyone use one of these---Just got their new catalog, and I notice that it only weighs 40LBS...kinda got my attention

I’ve had one for about 8 years. It's a good practice amp. I’ve used it with an acustic/electric band a few years back. 2 guitars, singer and bass. No drums fine for that too! I don’t think it would cut it with a rock band with a drummer.

I also have had one for a few years. I just use it for practice and it sounds pretty good. I agree it probably wouldn't cut it in a rock band with a drummer.

I have the BR15 and think it's pretty sweet...a bit more power (20w more) and not much more weight (6 lbs.) for a combo...plus its design is newer, right???...I think both are discontinued models...

Are Carvin's fat sounding---

I play Danelectros, and like it pretty fat, with some zing on the high end, but not a lot of middle---

I use PA support, so I really just need to be loud eneough for me and the drummer

My Ampeg BA 115 does fine, good fat tone, adequate volume, and not much headroom, just worried the Carvin won't be full enough sounding

With the pre-shape filters you can probably get the tone you want.
