Carvin r1000 Problem

So, I plug my rig up to play a gig, and all of a sudden, and I get no noise whatsoever. The compressor light comes on whenever I pluck a string, so I know it's not the input. I reset everything to the lowest settings to see if I was clipping out, but that didn't help. I'm kind of inexperienced with amps, so I don't really have an idea of what to do. Someone please help!

Try cleaning both effects send/return jacks with contact cleaner by spraying them and inserting a 1/4" plug a few times. They have been known to oxidize.

With power removed check that all ribbon cables are seated correctly. In the Redline series they have a tendency to vibrate off.

Lets assume the above does not work. Then take an audio signal source (a line out from another amp or an mp3 player, etc) and plug it into the effects return jack (start with very low volume then bring it up). If you still have no sound output most likely the PA is blown and the front end preamp is still working.
