I'm still gigging mine regularly. It's a 4kCHMB. All passive and a real Fender killer. This bass blows away every other jazz I have ever played and owned. It retired my 10lb Jazz and saved my back. The BE fretboard is so awesome to look at. I would have went 3TSB, but I have to see the grain in person on trans finishes. Anyways, this bass is so much fun to play.

I like the SB about a thousand times more than the JB. The SB, to me was obviously jazz inspired, with a bit of a nod/homage to the original, but with its own spin. Their JB just looks like a bad Jazz copy, to me. If you're gonna do a jazz bass, might as well do a jazz bass.

That bass is awesome. You got them at a good time as far as what they were willing to do with the headstock. That reverse icon on SB is probably my favorite Carvin combo. They discontinued that bass right when I was about to order, and then wouldn't give me a reverse icon on my X54.

Thanks, I bought this from Scubaduba about a year ago and I agree with you on the reverse Icon headstock option. Plus, it's outlasted several other basses I've had during this last year. Too bad wa can't order one.
