:hmm: :eyebrow: I never noticed that. It was a new in-stock I bought late last year. Maybe whoever ordered it requested that mod.

Probably something the guitar department was experimenting with but didn't put into production. I've seen a few with dual HB's that were spaced further apart than normal. One was and XB75 built for Johny April and one or two others were probably prototypes of what they built for Johnny April. But I've seen at least one recently that dates from well before that.
I don't think I've seen one like yours, with the HB/J99 pickup combination and the HB moved up like that.
Interesting.

That's not a bad thing brotha. It just means the bridge HB is out over the sweet spot a little more. You might have a one off which is cool. There's another guy on the Carvin BBS w/an LB75 w/ both HBs in slightly different positions which makes it unique.

MGood, what do you think?

I've shown off all of mine ad naseum . . .

Me too, but I figured if they didn't find those old threads, they probably haven't seen those old pictures.

And for everyone with a Carvin or who just wants to look at them,
TK65 is the webmaster of www.carvinmuseum.com
Send those pics to him or just go over there to look around. And visit us in the Forum over there as well. That is THE best place to get your Carvin questions answered.
