Carvin's BX1500 and B2000

Just got the new Carvin catalog and they are featuring 2 new bass amp heads. The BX1500 which is tube driven and 1500 watts rms @ 2 ohms, weighs 10 lbs and the B2000 which is also tube driven, $599, delivers 2000 watts rms @ 2 ohms and weighs only 13 lbs, $699.. Sounds pretty good too me.

I also got the new catalog today. That looks like some interesting stuff! I'll be interested to hear what the first owners think of those heads. I don't see anything on the website about them, though.

I would have liked to see more cabs from Carvin; perhaps a 412 or 610.

Take a pic of the catalog Vinx.

Are they 2 or 3 space units?

Wow.........seriously ?

They are discontinuing the workhorse B1500 :eyebrow: Thats one of the amps that finally got them back into the game.

Glad I have two of them.

Although I am interested in seeing and hearing the new amps. Can't wait to get my catalog

The B1500 is an awesome amp but I wouldn't mind the B2000. It's got close to the same power and is about 1/3 of the weight. Of the two new amps, I'd probably opt for the BX1500 because of how much I like my BX500.

Here are some pictures of the amps and the descriptions.

Sign me up as very interested in the B2000. The B1500 has been a stellar head for Carvin. If this has the same over-all tone, plus some additional warmth due to the tube pre, oh baby this could be sweet. Too bad they don't offer a 4x12 cab as well. Now THAT combo could kill!

I'm very surprised Carvin would discontinue the B1500, I'll definitely be holding onto mine.

Hopefully the B2000 will be equal to or a step up from the B1500, but those are some hard shoes to fill. I'll be anxiously waiting some B1500/B2000 comparisons.

Man I want both.

Are there any new cabs in the pro line?

I wish they'd take it to the next level with their speaker components. The cab construction is top shelf though.
