Thanks... last night I found that setting the treble at about 1:00 and the bass at about 11:00, sounded best when pushing the gain into the distortion zone.
Just got mine. So awesome. My 3xFX Fatman is being sidelined more and more. You get so much versatility in such a small package.
I do have 2 complaints
1. its not as responsive as I thought it would be. In a way thats a good thing because I was afraid it would be hard to keep the amount of dirt consistent with each pluck. It could also just be me.
2. The battery compartment is a PAIN IN THE F***ING ASS. Really. Luckily Catalinbread realize this and have a video up on their site for how to get the battery in. II'm concerned about the life of the battery connecter cable because I had to smush it down a bit to get the back plate to lie flat.

It's a pain, indeed. It took me like 15 minutes to install battery as I didn't want to damage wires. Keep in mind that different batteries have different sizes.
I ordered mine from Catalinbread weeks ago and it seems to have been lost in the post!

Sadly yes. Royal Mail and Parcelforce are the same folks :scowl: (Parcelforce are part of the Royal Mail group). It's annoying, I know. I'm waiting on a few pedals from the states and I'm getting quite restless about it.
I want to order an SFT but I need to wait for everything else to arrive first.
Rehearsed with full band last night with the SFT and it does sit well in the mix. When playing in my music room by myself, I thought it sounded a little to middy, but in the full band mix, it's perfect!
First, thanks for the support. We've built thousands of pedals. And not once have we had a failed battery strap. If you do, worry not we'll take care of you.

Has anyone compared this to the Xotic BB pre/OD? Seems that they fill the same needs - two band eq + drive and volume. I love my BB, but it seems a little lacking in terms of adjusting to playing dynamics.
BB goes from gain to high gain. the SFT does grit to medium gain.
the BB was bit overly gainy for my taste. but the SFT sits quite right. used an RC as well before, it wasnt a bass version but didnt lose low end and was sounding quite alright.

Hmm, that sounds pretty good to me. I usually have the gain on the BB between 9 and noon, and I feel that anything above that is diminishing returns. I'll probably end up buying one of these sometime.
