Yup. Great game, more surprising is that it's freeware.

I'm just curious to why pixel would spend 5 YEARS making a freeware game, it's great, but thats serious devotion to your craft!

Well, it's said to be Metroid and Castlevania inspired. Link Removed is one that's still in progress, and Invalid Link Removed might satisfy, although I didn't play it enough to say.
