Just noticed your buildoff description never mentioned the custom aluminum and wood knobs. With so many amazing things about this build I guess it's easy for some amazing things to get left out.

I think the clipped ends of the strings is fair for that

I'll tell ya', honestly, I can easily see that thing being worth a pretty penny and if I had the bread to make a reasonable offer it would be on my short list of basses I would want to own. It's just.......stunning!

So I just re-read this thread for probably the third or fourth time. If I'm correct, the only parts of this bass that you didn't fabricate yourself were:
1. The strings
2. The tuners (machine heads)
3. The pots
4. The fret wire

Did I miss anything? Serious props, man.

Actual jack itself and the true rod . Thanks, though, it's been a fun ride! I'd totally do it again, it was a blast! Lots of learning happened, too.

He forgot to cut down the tree in his yard and process it into nice boards. That'll have to be for the next build

Right after he mines the ore, and refines his own aluminum
