Chair for long practice times ?

The thing is, for me, that I need to have my right foot raised off the ground, like a classical guitar player would use a small foot stool. It makes it easier for me to play with my foot like that. The memory foam cushion might be an option for me. I'm already using a small, wooden box for my right foot. The edge of the chair really gets to the back of my legs after awhile.

Sounds like you need to adjust your position on the seat, or perhaps the height if it's potting undo pressure on your legs. Maybe a new cushion? I sit in a $49.00 office chair from Staples without issue.
I also like my right leg raised, and use a 10" long chunk of a 6x8 structural beam under foot.

Actually, the office chair that I am using has a big seat, approx. 19" by 19 ". That might have something to do with it. I think the " motorcycle " type of seat, like you see on the Rok Soc would be better for the backs of my legs,

Classical foot rest. A tell tale that the Classical Guitar is un-ergonomic built, and then some. If the wider "bout" was at the neck side, i e the body was reversed in size, it would automatically be put in that angle that you have when foot rest. I gave up classicar guitar studies in my teens because my resting leg (on the classical foot rest) fell asleep after 10 minutes. I was even in my early teens. A piano chair I can sit on. Weird to have to play instrument that will get your back sore from sitting askewed all of the time like classical guitar. The body will never adapt to unnatural postures. It will bite you in the butt (litterarelly) later on down the road.

Just a tip if you think I am a Varier salesman, or hypes anything of Scandinavian design. Stokke/Variers kneeling chairs you should avoid at all costs. Even if they were given to you for free. Doesn't help anything, back, knees, prolonged sittings, whatever. This is actually where I wonder what they have been smoking when designing.

I tried to use these in office, at work, some years ago. Within 15 minutes my both legs fell asleep. Try to operate your pedalboard with this one, if you dare! Avoid. A huge no no. It's an order. Period!
Concur. These are awful.
