This album was released in March of 1980, a few months before Marcus Miller turned 21. I understand he was 19 when he recorded this track. Like Lee Ritenour's Rio Funk, Naughty is a nice example of his tone before he had a preamp installed in his '77 Jazz. I think he sounds marvelous, especially his finger tone.
