changing jazz pickups

hey guys i got a fender standard jazz bass, and im looking for something with a hard, punk rock sound that has smooth bottom end but a really crisp high end/mids. also something good for slapping!:bassist: let me no, im looking at barts, dimarzios, seymour duncans, and basslines. or is seymour duncans and basslines the same thing? lol sorry im kind of a pup noob :bawl:

Punkrock and smooth bottom end/crisp highs are two diffrent worlds.
The SJB-3 Quarter Pound Pickup from the Seymour Duncan Bassline
, thats the Synonym for Punkrock. Edge, Harsh, Attack, High Output, aggressive.
If you looking for smooth bottom end and delicious crispy highs you should go for SJB-1 Vintage Pickups. compressed, reduced high mids.
Bartolini only for experimental fusion twelve ton jazz.
Dimarzios good to go, specially for punk.
