Changing my string gauge issue

ive been useing ernieball .55-.110 and i love them but i have a real hard time getting the D and G to go into standard so im dropping down to .45-.100 (Daddario) because i play alot of metallica and 90% of what i play is in standard. will i lose a ton of bottom end? will .45-.100 go into standard a little easier? i play a 4 string if that matters (SChecter omen 4)

Do you mean the D G are too tight in standard?
Ernie ball once sent out a tension chart, when checked it was an exact copy of D'Addarios values: [This invalid link has been removed]
SO this is why, tension jumps up by 8 then 10 pounds tension across EADG. This is an extreme example of the 'top and/or middle heavy tension' most bass sets have.
With a 'balanced tension' set you can keep the 110 for E but equalise the tensions by using 110 85 60 45 or similar. Build a custom set from singles ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) or Circle K Strings sell equal tension sets Link Removed
