Part of it can be location, if you search on your cell away from home. Also, the algorithm can think phone users are different people (e.g. younger) than computer users. It may automatically adjust for that.

Changing out a guitars neck with a bass neck?

Amazon works a little differently, it tracks you per account. You should get very similar search results on two different devices if you're logged into the same account on both. And it should retain those search patterns after you log out because Amazon will have fingerprinted the browser or app as being yours.
BUT if you search on a fresh browser (one that hasn't been fingerprinted) before logging in, or a different account was used to log in between the last time you logged in and now, you might get different results.
Any clue why it would show me less results if I'm someone whose willing to purchase the items? Like, every result I get on my phone says out of stock. It seems counter intuitive to them being able to sell anything
Amazon.ca. I write either "electric bass", "bass guitar" or "electric bass guitar". The same search yields different results on seperate devices, good doesn't seem to be able to help either.
What was weird is all the available bass necks disappeared the day I was about to purchase them too. And yesterday all the usual results I used to get showed up for a single search, but disappeared again on a second try
Maybe it has found out that people on their phones aren't looking for anything, they're just passing the time and want to look at pretty pictures. In which case, out of stock will do fine.

Yea, they show up when you search it. They all disappeared when I was searching and the only one I got turned out to be a scam

Damn right it's weird....less than five minutes ago when I was scanning through my list of new email I came across one from ebay for one of these same necks in medium scale ("3 sold, only 1 left, order now!!"). And it was from a different seller username. I suspect the deal with these necks is a bunch were manufactured, bought up by various resellers, and offered in various online marketplaces. Where they may have sold more than they actually had available to sell, the sources and sellers being in China, various delays and/or reliability in fulfilling orders and updating inventory status, etc.
I suppose it's a gamble ....
.... but the one I got a couple years ago is actually a pretty damn nice neck .... especially price considered. What a bummer.

ah, yes but… kahler bridges, specially reverse saddle kahler bridges, they are demanding and particular about the space the unit requires vs. where the saddles actually are
Hey, if Gibson can make an SG guitar into an EB-3 bass, you can, too. Like Bruce Johnson and others have said, move the bridge back so the scale is correct. The Epiphone EB-O neck is a short scale (30" or so) bolt on neck that should be available online. Another option is a fretless neck. You won't have to worry about the amount of perfection if you go fretless. Just familiarize yourself with whatever scale length you end up with. The distance from the nut to where you plot the bridge will determine that. Hope this helps.
