Changing Pickups: Reccomendations Needed

I enjoy playing my 2017 Deluxe Active Jazz Bass very much. Thinking of replacing the ceramic noiseless pickups. I've not had a bass with as much low end before. I am surprised by the lack of high end. It's strung with Labella Deep Talkin' Bass Stainless Steel Round Wound strings which I love. My tone observations are based on running direct into recording interface.

Not sure. If no more hum than my American Standard Stratocaster single coils will be fine.

In that case there are many from which to choose. Too many, perhaps. Some months ago I read someone's comment here that models of J bass pickups were as numerous as "stars in the sky". Since I don't know your price point, I'll just recommend some sources of hand wound single coil J bass pickups that I like best. Though with different flavors, any of these will be as articulate and balanced as you could possibly want:

• I have only custom pickups of his
  My current favorite, if I had to choose one. Though I only own split coil P pickups of his, I must believe that his stock models are as good. Ask him about custom.

• a few sets of their Pre-CBS type J pickups and a P/J set
  Though gray bottom J bass pickups are really elegant-sounding, they are so fine that I assume his J bass pickups are as good.

• one in a vintage Precision Bass set up as P/J
  I own a set in a 5-string custom Fodera. So fine. And expensive. And worth it.

• Epic 1959 P bass pickup in my Fodera Monarch-P aka Voodoo Pickups:
  His I own two sets.

• Klein Pickups
  Of his Epic 1962 J bass pickups, I have split coil P pickup, which ended up in the same vintage Precision Bass P/J as the Klein J pickup and I have only custom pickups of his. Also I have his I only own split coil P pickups of his.

• Dawgtown Custom Shop
  It's been a while since I played them, but a few sets of their Pre-CBS type J pickups and a P/J set. I liked the first so much that I got a second... just in case. He is a genuine beekeeper who pots his pickups in wax from his own bees!

• Lollar Pickups
  Though I own a set, I have yet to install them. I love his gray bottom J bass pickups are really elegant-sounding.
