The legendary bass player's magnum opus "Epitaph" is performed by a stellar 31-piece orchestra. At its World premiere at Lincoln Center in 1989, The New York Times called it "the jazz event of the decade." This performance will also premiere three previously missing sections from the piece.

I'm still debating if i am going to see it in Chicago this Friday. I work at the CSO Store and have been looking at the front of house poster for it for the past few weeks. Makes me tempted....cept-the trip to Chicago isn't as easy as it used to be. Namely-gas money.
