Charvel questions.

Found this in a pawn shop today. It was strung with GUITAR STRINGS. I'm not for sure what it is, the best I can come up with via the interweb is it was made in japan in the 87ish. maybe. It's not in great shape. I can't find any info on models with the scalloped frets and this pickup configuration. So I figured somebody on here would know. The neck looks like it has been shimmed? The pics aren't that great. What can I do with this thing? And before you ask, NO the chair is not for sale.

Looks like a Charvel that started life as a P-Bass then somebody tried to 'Sheehan-ize' it by adding a mudbucker and scalloping the upper frets.

Yeah. I took a peek under that pickup. It was definitely routed after the fact. The knobs are mismatched too. The scalloped frets aside, I do like the neck.
